I pre-ordered something from Best Buy that doesn't ship until February. I paid with Paypal. On my summary, it shows up under Pending AND Completed. The order confirmation from Best Buy says that they won't charge my card until the item ships, but I'm not sure how it works with Paypal. Will Paypal go ahead and withdrawal the funds from my funding source now, or wait until Best Buy is ready to complete the transaction?
it works just like a credit card. You want see a charge until they are ready to ship the item. Sometimes you wont see the charge up to a few days after it ships.
That's what I thought, but the withdrawal from my bank account went through this morning. Some other people who used credit cards were also charged immediately. Not sure why Best Buy is suddenly doing this different, I've never had this happen with a pre-order before.
