Refund finally no longer pending but not appearing in bank statement?

So after ten days (and countless hours on the phone neal daily) i have recieved a message from paypal saying that the merchant has issued the refund for an item i tried purchasing that was out of stock.

it's showing as "completed" on my paypal summary but there's no record whatsoever on my Bank Of America statements.

like it's ghosting it's way through or lost in cyberspace of wire transfers...

has this happenned to anyone? is this normal? will i have to wait much longerRobot Sad

I'm faced with the same thing. I also find it alarming that no one has responded to your issue. I've not been on the pay-pal community before. Is it in fact not very active? Or has this issue not come up before? Anyone?

I'm going thru the same thing. It's been almost a week since my refund showed "completed" in my Paypal statement but still there is no record whatsoever in my bank account of the refund. I called their number and was told it could take about 30 business days for the refund to show up on my card statement. Unfair huh?

Has anyone actually recieved their refund here and why when they can take the money out of our bank accounts in a matter of minutes would it take 30 days to refund. I don't understand.

Hmm... 

 

Did you use a verified Bank Account Routing/Account number? Did you verify it by phone or by PayPal deposits? Was it Bank of America?

It was credited to my bank card, took a few days, but wasn't sure how long it was going to take. Thanks for info., Michelle

If your payment was credit or debit card funded, the refund will be credited back to your credit or debit card account.  Your credit or debit card company determines how long it will take for the refund to be credited to your account.

 

If the payment was bank account funded, the refund will be credited to your PayPal account balance.

Login to your PayPal account and click on the payment's "Details" link to see if the refund is being credited back to your credit or debit card account.
