Receiving payment?

This is the first time I've ever sold something on ebay.  Once the buyer pays for the item, will it automatically go to the paypal account that I have linked to that account?  I understand that sometimes there are holds on it and that's fine, I just want to make sure I didn't need to do anything special with my paypal account.  It's an account I set up years ago and I recently saw where you can link a bank account to the account also, so I didn't know if I needed to do that.  At the moment, I just have a debit card linked to the account.

The email address that you use with paypal identifies your paypal account and when a buyer pays they pay to that email address and if its correct the funds should show in your paypal balance.

TO CHECK TO THIS >>>

Go and find any of your transactions in your “my ebay” > click to the right where it says "sell similar" > don't fill in anything just scroll down to the payments section > look in the paypal box > is the email addy in there correct with no spelling mistakes?

If its correct then the payment should show in your paypal balance when the buyer pays.

As you said it may show as "pending" as you are a new seller.

For seller protection you need to sell on a business and not a personal account so if you have a personal account then consider upgrading sooner rather than later especially if you are selling pricy stuff or internationally.

You can only "withdraw" your funds to a bank account linked and verified on your paypal account setting up the direct debit mandate between your bank and paypal (you can't withdraw to a card in the US or UK).

Once you have linked your bank account you can withdraw the funds once they have "cleared" but remember when you go to buy something paypal will use any funds in your paypal balance first and then your bank account so if you still want to use your card to fund purchases make sure you click on "change" during the payment process and select your card instead.

Finally read up on seller protection and be very careful of scams and spoof emails.

Thank you!  That was incredibly helpful.  My email address is correct on there.

It still says "awaiting payment," so I guess I'll just wait until payment goes through and go from there.  Thank you again!  I appreciate your help and advice.
