Pending - a payment I've received

Hello 

I have sold an item on ebay which is collection only.  I usually receive payments instantly.  Has something changed on paypal? My buyer wants to collect the item but I don't want to let this happen until I know that the money is available for me in my paypal. But I also don't want to lose my buyer!!   I've done everything that Paypal has advised as far as I can see.    I've emailed paypal and not got a response to my query.... I'm not very happy about this service now and am not feeling confident with paypal.   what should I do?

When you click on it does it say anything about the new seller hold??  Does it give you a clearance date or does it say uncleared next to the payment?

Also can i ask why you are accepting paypal for an item that is to be collected?? Only you have NO paypal protection for items that are collected, the buyer could collect > file non receipt of item and win.

That is why ebay allow you to put ''cash on collection'' only on your auctions and you are allowed to refuse paypal payments ONLY for collect items.
