Paid with PayPal and have a question

Hi everyone. I paid for services for a website I am having built through pp yesterday morning. When the seller went to get payment, it says won't be available till Jan 7th. I have never had this happen to me and she has never seen this either. What could the issue be and is there a cust service email or number for pp that I can talk to? This is concerning to me. Thanks! Sounds as if you paid with an echeque, an echeque is normally generated when the sender does not have a back up card linked to their paypal account or that card has expired and needs updating.

 

Sometimes however they do it for other transactions that may be in the risky category.
