Hi!

Today I have received some money on my PayPal account, but I don't know why I can't use them.

I'm getting this message "We're sorry, but we can't send your payment right now".

There's various reasons for this error message - most common is having an "unverified" account.  Another reason can be a linked credit card that has expired.   Additionally, your account profile may not be completely setup.  And sometimes one can encounter a system glitch.

If all of the above is OK with your Account, then try deleting your web browser's cookies, temp files and history, then close the browser, reopen it and retry.

You can also try using a different web browser or if available, another computer.

As a last resort for assistance, suggest that you follow-up with customer support with your concerns as they can check out a few things for you.

My account is unverified, but I think I must be able to use my money. Right?

PayPal may only permit a transaction or two with an "unverified" account.  After that, if you choose not to verify your account, it's not going to be of much use.

Why is verifying my account important and removing my limits important?

Financial institutions such as banks, credit card issues and 3rd party transaction processors such as PayPal are required by law to verify the identity of the person behind any and all Accounts into which money is collected. This stems from the USA Patriot Act, Title III, Anti-money laundering to prevent terrorism where as institutions put into place reasonable steps to identify beneficial owners of bank accounts and those who are authorized to use or route funds through payable-through accounts.

PayPal takes advantage of the fact that you had to prove to the bank you are who you say you are. Therefore, by linking and confirming your bank account, the background work has already been done and PayPal has now met the legal requirements to protect themselves.

PayPal's FAQs state: To Verify your PayPal account, just link your bank account to your PayPal account or be approved for PayPal Smart Connect or the PayPal Plus MasterCard®. (Note, the PayPal Plus MasterCard was introduced in 2001. In 2011 the name was changed to the PayPal Extras MasterCard.)

From experience, we’ve learned that in order to use PayPal without limits, it best to link and confirm a bank account (checking account) plus link and confirm a credit card (not the prepaid type) or register your SSN # or do all three. (Note, when you link and confirm a credit card, this acts as additional proof of ID, a backup funding source and allows you to do instant transfers verses sending eChecks or in the UK eCheques.)

I doesn't have a credit card for verify my account. If I can't use my money I think I must be able to send them back, on my father account, but I can't do that because I'm getting this message...
