How to cancel preapproved payment!?!?

OMG PayPal! Do I have to cancel my account just to be able to cancel this preapproved payment BS!? Everytime I use this service I'm more and more frustrated with it... Why do you even feel the need to change your website, it was fine before. More importantly why dont we as the technologicle advanced species that we are have a better way of making online payments!? I'm sick of this sh*t!!... OK fine that rant was retorical but seiously how do i cancel preapproved payments in this ugly, inefficent, garbage a$# new web interface?

  • Login to your PayPal Account.
  • Click on "Profile and settings".
  • Click on "My Money".
  • Look for: "My Preapproved Payments".
  • You should see: "Manage the automatic payments, subscriptions, and installment plan payments I send to merchants".
  • Click on "Update".
  • Next, you will see all active and cancelled billing agreements/subscriptions listed on the screen.
  • Click on the service-name for further action.
  • You should see on next page terms of billing agreement/subscription, how much money you have authorized service provider to deduct from your account and few other details.   Most important is link to Cancel agreement, in case if it is active.
  • Note, when you click on Cancel, you will be prompted to confirm it once again.   Click "Yes".

 

If you can't find your Profile and settings link, here's a shortcut URL link you can try:

Copy and paste the link into your web browser, then hit Enter - you should get a PayPal Login Screen.

I am logged into my PayPal acct...I'm not given the 'Profile & Settings' option which, of course, would make the rest of your instructions unavailable...I can get to 'preapproved payments' details but cannot edit, cancel, etc...

In response to your answer to the question, "How to canceI a preapproved payment?". I have tried everything in your instructions, several times. The links that you give are not showing on my account and apparently not on other accounts. Please advise your tech support so that they can make this website more user friendly. I never had any problems before.

FYI, the page that shows when clicking on the web address that you give in this question, is not accessible from the profile link in the top right corner after logging in.

Whenever I try to cancel a preapproved payment I get this:
