How long does it take for money to go into my account

 Someone sent me 50 dollars as a gift, but after over 8 hours it is still under transactions and I have 0 dollars in my account. How long does it usually take for me to get the money in my account? Sorry if it is something completely obvious, this was my first time selling an item using paypal.

You should not be accepting gift payments for sales.  Here's the applicable user agreement text...

4.1 Receiving Personal Payments.  If you are selling goods or services, you may not ask the buyer to send you a Personal Payment for the purchase.  If you do so, PayPal may remove your ability to accept Personal Payments.

I didnt ask them too, I was selling an item from steam, and without asking me they sent it as a gift. It shouldnt be my fault

Log in to your PayPal account... is the payment shown in the pending section or the completed section of your PayPal account summary or activity page?
