I'm having someone do some work on my vehicle and wanted to use paypal but he prefers cash which I don't have that amount handy. So I think I can't have PayPal send him a check, but they will send me a check which I can go cash and then give him the cash. Question is, I've heard horror stories in the past that it can take weeks to have PP send you a paper check because they don't like to do that. Is this really true? This is not a business so he doesn't accept credit cards, he's just a free-lancer who specializes in a particular type of work.
So what are my options?
