How do I stop automatic paymernts

Hey just wondering, how do I cancel automatic payments?

Greetings, 

Here is how to cancel an automatic payment with a merchant:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Profile at the top of the page.
3. Click My Money, then click Update beside My preapproved payments to find your payment.
4. Select the payment, and then click Cancel.

That's fine, except I can't access my profile because it says it's only 80% complete; the outstanding element is the app, which I have downloaded and set up on my phone but still my profile shows as only 80% complete. I desperately need to cancel an automatic payment but how do I do that if I can't access my profile as suggested?
