HELP: I didn't got my payment

My friend told me that he already sent me the money, but I am positive that I don't have it on my paypal. What do I do? Do I need to provide some proof in order to solve this problem? If yes, what proofs do I need? Thanks for those who will help. Btw, he sent me 2$ just to test If I can receive the money. That time I received the 2$. But when he sent me the 25$, I didn't receive it. Thats all.

Assuming both you and your friend have verified PayPal Accounts.  The process is quite simple.  You friend uses the Send Money feature and using your email address sends you the money.  You will get an email notification that someone has send you some money.  PayPal will then deposit the money into your PayPal Account Balance.  You will also have a record of the transaction in your PayPal Account Transaction History.

 

Delays on receiving money can be for various reasons, not having a verified account, the funding source used by the sender, etc.  For example, if the money was sent from a bank account, it can take up to 4 days for your to receive it.

 

Note, if you did not receive an email notification, one possible reason would be that your friend used an incorrect email address.  If the status of the transaction on your friends side says "unclaimed", this means that the money was sent to an address other than yours.
