Funds withheld for 21 days but payment was for service, not goods

I have a client that just paid me for services and I have absolutely no tracking info to provide.
The client called paypal, who told them it was my issue. I called paypal and just got automated bla. It suggested I mark the payment as 'shipped' and there was no option to do that. The closest thing was to add tracking info and mark it as shipped, but, obviously, I don't have tracking info.
Is there anything I can do?
Just a side note to paypal. This is so infuriating as to make me want to not use paypal. It's ridiculous. It's like, several times worse than using a bank now.

Depending on how much the transaction is for you could always print a receipt and mail it with delivery confirmation to buyers confirmed address. Not trying to be a jerk but PP rarely cares about your frustration level. If PP doesn't work for you there are a ton of other services out there for quick funds transfers.

yeah I won't be printing off a label and posting it. Not when myself and others have been using paypal without such ridiculous hinderances for years.
I would like to look into other methods of payment though. It's international ones that are tricky and that's how Paypal used to shine.

This issue has been discussed before,I think all you need is to mark it received,no need for tracking.
do you see anyplace you can mark it?
if this is intl payment, sending a note with tracking overseas is not cheap, domestic is 2.45,but overseas a lot more

a-ha!
There's a link that says 'see details on classic site' and when you click on that it has an option to 'mark as processed'.
And gives you the chance to choose 'not applicable' for any tracking stuff.
Totally not a conspicuous sounding link though!
