Cannot use my PayPal balance.

So a few days ago everything was totally fine, I could pay for things with my  PayPal balance, but now it says that the payment has failed. Even tried sending money, did not work. It's actually getting really annoying now.  Any suggestions on what's the problem/solution, people?

I have actually tried both of those things! Neither of them worked. But when my friend requested 1$ I successfully sent him the money. Althought the fee was 0.38$.

maybe you can ask that merchant to send you an invoice requesting payment.

Make sure it is stated what you are buying.

As for your friend asking money and you sent money, and paid 38 cents fee, just ask your friend to refund you,Paypal will refund 38 cents of that one dollar

I have contacted the merchant as well, from the looks of things, the problem is with PayPal. As I've mentioned before, I had made a payment before with the same merchant (Jagex).

So there's literally nothing I can do now, as it seems. Well, seems like I won't be using PayPal again.

Well to be honest it doesn't matter to us if you use it or not BUT i still think if you add a back up card you may find that your payment will go through ok.

You may well have paid that person in the past but sometimes paypal will allow some payments through and then stop them until you add a back up card.

Why not just contact customer services and see if that is the problem or if it is something else as only they can view your account, we can only give educated guesses.
