Buyer has item, sent payment to wrong account.

Hello all, and thank you in advance for your help. I have a payment issue that ebay/paypal is relying on action from a non-responsive  buyer. Here are the details:

Buyer submitted payment to incorrect email address. Based on ebay telling me that payment was sent, I shipped package. Now buyer has item and I do not have payment for item. I have contacted ebay and they said to have buyer resubmit payment to appropriate address, but buyer is not responding.

What are my options now?

If it was done through ebay you have buyer protection.  If it was done on the side, i dont know what to tell you other than to keep trying to contact them, and if no answer, maybe small claims?

I had a typo in the original message -  I meant to say that I am a seller. I guess I could sue him but the total is only around $60

I am having a similar problem but with my seller. What paypal email address did the payment go to? When You created the auction, what payment address did you put down for paypal? If you put down the wrong email address in the auction, ebay would show that the item was paid for but you may have not received the money in your paypal account because it was a different email address that the payment went to. For example, you have a registed paypal email address but in the auction you actually put in your 2nd email address. If that's the case, you may be able to add additional emails to your paypal account so you can receive the money from more than one email? Not sure...

If the seller has access to the other email address, the seller can add it to his PayPal account... the payment will show up right after the seller confirms the email address.
