Anonymous Donations

Hi there,

I have a well trafficked blog (it's not a business...just a blog) and want to accept paypal donations to an email address associated with said blog. But, I don't want my name, address, contact info, etc. shown to those that may donate.

My understanding is...

• Once I create a PayPal account with this blog email address, I'll need to enter my real name/banking information to receive donations. This isn't an issue.

• But, after donations are received, the senders will be able to see my real name/contact information. This IS an issue.

In summation, can I receive donations to a PayPal account without senders having access to my contact info? How?

Even if I use a business account/name?

If you are not a registered business then you could not add a company name in a business account.

If you tried to use a fake name then that can lead to all sorts of problems.

And anyway they would still have your email address as contact info.

To be honest i would find it very strange that someone wants to have the contact info ie name and email address of the people sending them money but not let them have their own name in return.
