Can't use my Paypal Balance

Hi, I have been trying to purchase things online with my paypal balance, but it does not let me. This message keeps popping up: "Return to merchant and try a different payment method."

Am I supposed to link my card and bank onto my paypal in order to use my balance? Or does that not affect anything? I just want to use my PP balance 😞 Please help if you can 😞

To use funds in your paypal account balance you have to have a back up funding source ie card linked to your paypal account as well.

Then after a while to lift your sending and receiving limits you will have to add a bank account as well.
