Accidentally hit payment to come from bank account instead of credit card

Hi,  I'm a bit worried--I sent a payment to someone, and thought I'd set the money to come from my credit card, but once I hit 'Send,' I realized it was coming from the bank account.  Which, by design, has no $$ in it.

Does anyone know if this is going to be a problem, and end us creating problems with my bank?  I'm so irritated, b/c I've repeatedly set the credit card as the default payment method, and it keeps switching back to the bank account, and I have to switch it over on a per-payment basis. This time, I guess it didn't take.

Any thoughts? I tried to cancel, but of course it's an automatic payment.  I've tried to call Paypal, but their offices were closed.

Thanks for any tips.

Kris

Once you have initiated the payment, you cannot cancel it.  Most likely your bank will charge you an overdraft fee.  Each time you pay like this, you must choose a different funding source if you don't want funds to come from your bank account.  Normal payment flow is PayPal Account balance first, if funds are insufficient, bank account is next, credit card is backup and/or optional but, must be selected each time.

Thanks Snowshoe.  I did click to chnage it to my credit card, btu I guess it didn't 'take.'  I'll be calling them to talk about this, b/c I'm goign to be charged a $40 charge for a $10 withdrawal I accidentally made, which just doesn't seem right, especially since i've set the default to be my credit card, and it keeps switching back.

Don't think you can actually make the card the default and it stays the default.  You have to change it each time you want to use it, else bank account.  There are exceptions I believe, the card has to be a PayPal product.

Yeah, I see that now.  It's kind-of a pain.  Wish they'd allow you to set your preferred default, since they get their fee no matter what (I presume).  Thanks for your replies!
