pending payment

hi im new to pay pal and need some help

i just made a purchase on ebay using paypal linked to my visa and also made a donation.

the purchase isnt showing up in my paypal activity section but my donation is adn the seller hasnt recieved my purchase request.

the payment is in pending status on my online visa account.

so my question is.. is this typical for a paypal visa transaction or is there an issue.

any help is appreciated
