Echeck taking forever to clear.

I'm sending an echeck from Canada to the USA and it is now 5 days past the date is was supposed to clear but it's still pending. The money has been taken out of my bank account but paypal is still holding onto it. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? (Other than link a credit card to my account, as I do not have one) .

Unfortunately it appears PayPal is using technology from the 1950's as every other company, transactions are instant. Don't hold your breath!!!
