Unclaimed payment

Hello all. Got a ebay problem with a seller. Hopefully some of you have some tips. Here goes the story: Bought a item on ebay. (it is ebay so actually won it 🙂 ) Seller send me an email with "congratz blablabla...." and asks for my shipping address and for payment within 48 hours. The 48 hours wasn't stated in his listing, but hey I'm a quick payer, no problem there. I email him back with my address (which I didn't have to because he normally sees it when payed). Next thing I do is pay the man and send him a email that I have made the payment. Got an email right back from him. That he didn't receive any money and he questions me because my email address I use for paypal payments is Dutch and my shipping-address is in Belgium. (For the record, and I told him the same, I work for a Dutch company but I live in Belgium). Words like "fraud", "a visit from your local authorities", "greedy", " fool"..... ar being used by him. I contacted paypal several times. And they ensured me that my side is covered and that he HAS received the payment. But that he has to covert the money in his paypal account. Payment was in Swiss Franks because his ebay settings were in Swiss Franks. At the moment I’m still receiving emails from him that he hasn't received any money. I get the feeling that he doesn’t want to sell the item for that price. Or that he has maybe sold the item already through a different channel. In any case I now have to wait for 30 days to get my money back, as he looks to be stubborn not to collect the money. (It is a setting it seems) Question for you.. has anyone ever had the same problem with a seller? - I know I have to wait 30 days to get my refund = so at the moment he is keeping my money in ransom! - But can I already leave a negative feedback NOW. Because the seller is nothing but rude to me. Or do I have to wait when I get my money back? Hope to hear your inputs. Thanks

I would advise that you wait until you get your money back before leaving negative feedback.

I do not understand why some people have to act like jerks just because of something like this.  Just cancel the order and deny the payment if no longer interested.  On the other hand, eBay don't make it easy to cancel and it comes with consequences and they micro manage everything yet still there are problems.  I think when you have a site where users start cannibalizing each other in this fashion, the game is over.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
