Receiving payment into my paypal account

I've only used my paypal account to pay for online purchases.

For the first time I am looking into offering services and selling a few items and receiving payment through paypal.

Can I use the same account I've been using to pay to receive payment?

Do the people paying send the money to my email account? How does that part work?
