Potential scam unfolding

Hi! I got an email recently about my car for sale on Autotrader. My inner alarm went off when I read it. English wasn't great but not bad enough for me to say it wasn't an American. The thing is, the sender said he was stationed at an army base in the states, but they aren't allowed to use the phones right now. He'll pay me what I'm asking for my car but he needs to use Paypal and cannot meet in person. He's buying it for his dad, so he'll have his mover pick it up after the payment goes through. I've heard of things like this where people take possession of your goods and a few days later your payment gets yanked back out of the account because they used a fake credit card or whatever. Just wanting to know what else I should be doing and if this guy could be caught.
