Paypal reversed my $6,000 payment

I am a YouTube creator and receive ad revenue payments from my YouTube network through Paypal. The last two months my network sent the money to my Paypal and I transferred the money over to my bank account. No issues.

But for the first time on Sept 15, Paypal held the payment and said it was pending with the following "To comply with government regulations, PayPal is required to review certain transactions. This payment is currently being reviewed and we will complete this process within 72 hours. "

I waited and finally yesterday on the 18th they reversed it and said the following "Unfortunately, we are not able to complete this particular transaction. This reversal is specific to this transaction and does not affect the use of your PayPal account for other transactions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. "

I went to the resolution page to dispute and it's flagged as "We had to stop this transaction because it didn't comply with regulatory requirements."

This is odd because I have received payments with no problems the last two months but this time it doesn't comply with the requirements? Why is that?

I called Paypal support line yesterday and was told to email their compliance transaction team. I did. Haven't received an email back yet. If I don't get an email back today, I'm going to call the support line again tomorrow.

Any help is appreciated. I have screenshots of any information needed.

it is the size of the payment and the source of payment.

why dont y ou ask the sender if it has happened to other recipients and how it ended?

just be patient,it usually take m ore than 7 2hours.

I have contacted my network about it. The network I am with only sends payments through Paypal. My last two payments were 3,500 and 4,000 and those went through without a pending review. So if it's above that, it gets reviewed?

I have gotten paid twice before this without a pending review from Paypal so I don't think it's the source.

I had some trouble understanding the rep on the phone and want to make sure I emailed the correct one. Is the compliance email <removed> ?

I dont know which email is the official one,but no need to send more,it just clog up the queue.

intl wire transfer is less than what you have to pay Paypal, the sender is saving money ,but you have to pay

A better suggestion is to ask your employer to contact Paypal and assure them all the payments they disbursed are legit and ask Paypal if they need a list of recipients.

Sure thing. I will ask them about this and will update the thread when this(hopefully) is resolved.

They denied it a SECOND time today. I was told it was pending on Friday(October 13). I spoke to a rep on Friday that my network would be processing the payment a second time. I told him about my situation and he said he would tell complaince the information I told him.

This is after I told compliance on September 20 about my situation and the rep told me in an email that my account is fine and there's no reason that the payment should not be able to go through.

Here's the funny thing: I received a successful payment through paypal two hours earlier from my network when I got the email it was pending. Why is this payment different than the one from last month? It's from the same network. I'm on hold right now - going to speak on the phone again. This is unbelievable.

Paypal does review payments, its software would look for certain criteria like keywords ,size of the payment, frequency from the same sender etc etc/
