I am REALLY SORRY to clog up the forums with such a basic request. Hopefully, this can be helpful to others.
I am moving my used CD sales from Amazing to Discogs, payment via Paypal (account already set up). These are from my personal collection, so the inventory is small (~200) and sales tiny (tops five items a week).
But I am a bit lost about shipping. Questions as they arose:
1. Amazon has a "Buy Shipping" page with automatic calculations on both sides, based on estimated weight (for buyers) and calculated weight (to print shipping labels).
I REALLY want to buy the shipping, print the labels and get the item picked up by the USPS mail carrier, due to the small volume.
Is the PayPal system comparable?
2. Discogs asks for my shipping policies. Do these policies have to match with PayPal's? Or do they align automatically?
3. Many (probably most) of the comments on the forums are from people selling on EBay.
a. Are EBay issues going to be largely the same?
b. Is there a difference between selling on EBay as opposed to Discogs?
4. When I go to the PayPal FAQs, they only point to steps to follow after I have a sale already.
Is there a site with screenshots showing me how it's done? I love to plan these things in advance and not freak out under pressure.
