I created a “Donations” button type to embed in my website. I selected “Yes” to the question “Do you need your customers’ shipping address?” in step 3 thinking that I would be able to retrieve the address of the donor. I tested the donation option on our website by selecting to donate using PayPal. I was expecting to be required to add my address in the PayPal donation screen, but I was not. I then assumed it would retrieve it from my PayPal account, but it appears it did not. I do not see the donors address anywhere in the information I have about the transaction. I need this information in order to send them a donation letter when required by the IRS.
Questions
1. Should I have been required to enter my address based on the selection of “Yes” to the question “Do you need your customers’ shipping address?” in step 3.
2. If not, how can I force donor address information when using a Donations button?
