How to delete an invoice that was partially paid then refunded?

I sent an invoice, buyer made a partial payment, then requested to have the invoice cancelled because they couldn't make the payment. I refunded the payment. How do I delete the invoice?

Welcome to the PayPal Community Help Forums! Great question about Invoicing!

Invoices cannot be deleted but they can be cancelled. Cancelling an invoice will not affect a partial payment.

There is no option to cancel an invoice that was partially paid and then refunded. Is there any other way to clear these invoices? They show up in the list of "unpaid" invoices even though they are archived.

You can only cancel invoices that were not paid at all.
