PayPal froze the account of my non-profit. They wanted documents I sent the ones they asked for. Then they asked for other documents, which I sent. They said the documents have conflicting information, which they don't. Now I am waiting.
This Non-profit has an annual budget of under 50,000 US per year (volunteers teach maternity care and change agency in Sierra Leone), and we use PP to receive donations. Most of our donors hate paypal so the traffic is low. Maybe they want us to close our account because they aren't making money from us? Other than that, I can't think of a reason for this harrassment.
As I've been researching how to resolve this, I am finding that PP freezes accounts with impunity for no real reason. Their decisions are arbitrary and communication poor. That seems to be OK with them. I am utterly disappointed. We've had this account since 2003.

It depends on the issues uncovered or verified during the invstigation. We have no details about your accounts or businiess activities to offer a predictable time frame. There isn't even an assurance that all will be fine when the investigation is complete.

Unless you disclose the documents and other details there is no way anyone can provide insight. We don't even know the legal status of your non-profit. PayPal is extremely careful to follow security and risk policies along with government and financial regulations.
