Did I get scammed on eBay?

Hi guys,
So here is what happened. I made a purchase on ebay for $150. All seemed fine. The item was marked shipped the next day with tracking info. Then when the item got to my city the tracking info changed to "undeliverable as addressed." I double checked my address and it is correct. I called the post office and they originally told me that they think it just ended up on the wrong route and it should show up the next day or so. Its been 3 days and it has not arrived nor has the tracking info been updated. I contacted the seller just to ask them to let me know if the item arrives back at their house and that if it does I do not mind paying for shipping for them to re-ship it. The seller does not return my emails. I thought maybe they were just busy, so to test things out I sent the seller an email asking about another item they were selling and they responded immediately. When I responded by again bringing up the item I bought there was no response. On the main purchase page on ebay it shows the item is not delivered but if you click on item details it shows the package as delivered, though under status it still says "undeliverable as addressed". Is this a scam? I cant report it yet because the final estimated shipping date has not passed. It will by mid next week though. Thank you!

That is crazy! I never really considered there would be "fake" tracking numbers. I thought that usually as long as the package was actually sent then it would be fine. Did not really think they would send some sort of empty package to the wrong place so they can say it was shipped.
Yeah, thats the big red flag to me here. If the seller was responding to me I would not be thinking anything other than some USPS error. Usually I'd never buy from a zero feedback seller but the seller had responded fast and professionally to my questions before I bought and it was a new account so I thought maybe they had just started trying to sell the items. Oh well, never again! lol.

In reality, it's all for nothing. Ebay will refund you under their no-fault policy - scammer defintely got his $, but at least you'll be made whole again.

So my tracking was updated this morning saying it is out for delivery! Would be awesome if it turns up today. I'll let you know around 6 tonight.
