Changing my name and other things

My account has recently been limited and I need to provide proof that I'm me to lift those limitations. However, I registered with my current name in use, not my birth name, which is a big problem because half the papers needed have my birth name on them and the other half have my other name. I've tried changing my name on the account but in 3 weeks I haven't gotten a response. What can I do to solve this?

Why didn't you use the name on all of your identity documents when you signed up for PayPal?  If you didn't use your legal name then you used a fraudulent name.  You could phone PayPal support for help, but how can you prove you are who if you don't have documents?

I'm going to get my name legally changed in the next year so I didn't think it'd be wrong. The bank account associated with my PayPal account has my birth name on it, shouldn't that be enough to prove I'm the owner of the account?

What you planned or plan to do in the future has no bearing on the name you used to create your account.

You need to phone PayPal support to determine if they can identify you as the owner of the current account.

Just like a bank acocunt, you needed to establish your PayPal account with your legal name at the time of creating the account and possess documents to support that name.
