Question about "Payment From" transaction

On most of my "payment from" transactions, it will show an Invoice number (which is the order number from my website). However, there are a few which do not show an invoice number but instead show a line that says: "Custom: ch2". Can anyone tell me what that means?

How are you doing the coding? Are you using the invoice variable or the custom variable?

Hi, thanks for responding. I'm not doing any coding myself... I'm trying to figure out why some of my transactions have the shipping broken out and some seem to include it in the total and show a shipping of $0. The only difference in the ones that show it and the ones that don't is that the ones that don't have this "Custom: ch2" in the place where the others display the Invoice number. So I was trying to figure out what that meant. I didn't know if it was something that came from PayPal or something that came from our shop's website. I couldn't see any difference in these orders on our shop's website.
I appreciate your help!

Would have to know more about your side and how it's coded. Are you using code generated from PayPal or from a 3rd party shopping cart?

It's a 3rd party, called 3dcart. So I'm guessing that this must be caused by how they are sending the data from 3dcart to PayPal?

Most likely yes. One would have to see the variables being sent. Do you have access to support or a forum? Chances are someone has already been thru what you're experiencing. Usually the fixes are pretty simple.
