Paypal Here app login failure (PPHLogin error 4244)

 For a month or two now when I log in to the paypal here app on my iphone, it has come up with a message to say the new operating system doesn't support the app, so I haven't upgraged the system on my phone.

Tried to log in the other day and now today and came up with the error message PPHLogin error 4244

Any clues as to what to do anyone?

What model and details about your phone?

Which PayPal here device are you using?

What phone operatting sytem?  When was it upgraded?

Have you contacted PayPal for information?

Hi,  I have it sorted now.  I finally got through to someone at Paypal and they told me to uninstall the app and then re-install it.

It worked!

I tried that but I still keep getting the 4244 code.  I'm using an iPhone 6 Plus with the latest version of iOs 9.2.  Called and the reps I spoke with acted like they had never heard of this problem before.  One said they'd open a ticket as it was the first time anyone had a similar issue.  BS  given this problem has been going on for months.
