So I am running a game server and selling people perks for the game from a web store. Some payments do not get listed until days after the user has bought the item. I am using a student paypal and I can not use IPN settings. Under my account I set my primary email address to the one I am using for the store. The same person who bought a cheap item which was processed quickly compared to the expensive item which hasn't even been verified yet, the money is in my paypal. I used to use another shop for my website and it worked fine but the new one will not recieve payments quickly and it had a nice integration with the site. Is there any way I can fix this or is my account type just not able to be used for things like that?

Just a guess but, it may be related to the type of account you have. Student Accounts when first conceived by PayPal were not intended to be used as business accounts as they are linked to the parents account. That may also explain why IPN won't work.
Note, that's just an outside observation, if this was a regular "verified" business account, don't think there would be any issues and IPN would work. As community forum advisors, we cannot speak for PayPal's policies. You would need to speak with customer support direct with your concerns but, don't think you will get a definitive root cause. Althought it's worth a try.

Well im not sure it has to do with the student paypal. I have a friend with the same type of account same payment setup and all and it works for him fine. He said he just put in his email and it worked. I'm wondering if my parent has to like put in a permission for this or somthing.
