Mobile responsive page on "subscribe" redirects for Payments Standard

Hi, - I posted on the wrong forum category (Payments) for this same topic earlier.  Re-posting here as this may be the right one for this question.

I am having difficulty for presenting a mobile responsive page from PayPal for the recurring subscription option. When redirected to https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr from the subscribe link, the page at Paypal is not mobile optimized and looks horrible. It is unusable on mobile devices and I am afraid I am losing sales this way for my mobile visitors.

From my research I do see PayPal saying this in one of their pages (link: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/products/mobile-paypal-payments-standard/): Note: Merchants that are integrated with the “Donate”, “Add to Cart”, or “Subscribe” buttons will not benefit from the mobile optimized experience at all at this time. Their customers will continue to go through the current payment experience on mobile devices.

What I don't understand: It was like 2013 when this was put out and some people had commented on forums that they are waiting for this: https://github.com/paypal/JavaScriptButtons/issues/67

Is it that hard for PayPal to provide a mobile responsive page without any exceptions. The option should not be to upgrade to Payments Pro - mobile responsive is a default standard for websites nowadays, it is hardly to be considered a paid feature. I am hoping that I am wrong and there is an option for payments standard to present a mobile responsive page from PayPal for the subscribe function redirect page.
