Increase in Rejection of Customer Cards

Since Monday of thisweek (6/18), I've had six customers call to tell me that they get the "This card cannot be used ....." message when trying to pay with a credit card. These are AMEX, MC and Visa. Unfortunately this has always happened once in a while but never at this rate. Is there something going on or some system that's being updated that's causing this? I'm not happy right now as this has cost me sales.

I just received the below message from customer support. If anyone is having this issue please call or email Paypal. Maybe if there are enough users having this issue, they'll prioritize a solution.
I have reviewed your current payment preferences, and currently the business account is setup to accept all card types, however, the account is setup to block all echecks.
Currently there are no reported issues with credit card acceptance at this time; however, I am putting in a request to our tech team to research this issue.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
