Opened my account and created an invoice using client information. Saved it as a draft. Now I find I can't delete it but I have no intention of sending an invoice to the client. I can't find any way to delete it and it appears from what I'm reading that the best I can do is "cancel" it which will result in a copy being sent to my client. What do I do?
Hi - Just a suggestion. You could edit the email address to be one of your email addresses (if you have more than one.) Then send it and cancel it. That way at least you will be the one to get the cancellation. You could also click the 'archive' box on the invoice management page to hide it from view.
The delete invoice feature is on our list of future features. If others want this, please chime in that it's important and this will help us to prioritize it.
I honestly can't think of why a "delete invoice feature" would even need help being prioritized.
I have tested close to a dozen invoicing programs, and not one lacked a way to delete an invoice. It seems as much a necessity and priority as a "create invoice feature".
Yes, please allow us humans (prone to make mistakes from time to time) to delete draft invoices and keep our lists clean.
Agree - deleting an invoice - draft or otherwise - should be a 'no-brainer' number-1 priority, otherwise all the reminder and message tools become useless if we use the feature. There's absolutely no reason to keep old bad invoices AT ALL. If there's concern about accidental deletions move deleted invoices to a temporary 'deleted' folder with a 'delete forever?' confirmation button and that should do it.
I contacted Merchant Support about this. They said because it's an account related issue, I would have to contact Customer Support. Sent an email two days ago, no reponse yet. The interesting thing is, none of us can find a way to delete an invoice, even if it's in a "draft" status. As Customer Support is not in the programming business, it will be interesting to see the reponse. If it's not possible, this could be a featue request for folks to chime in on.
I am very interested in this feature. Please prioritize this feature. With all invoice software I have used, DELETE is a standard option. It is hard to belive that folks so advanced as PayPal, can be so clueless about a simple feature.
I love Paypay, but I hate not having the ability to delete an invoice. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
