In order for the registration fee to appear as a line item, you need to use the "upload" method to create your item button. The results of the "upload" method posts the selections to the PayPal Checkout Screens. To give you a better understanding of how the "upload" method works, see the example below. Note, most 3rd shopping carts and mini-carts use the "upload" method. It's call a method because there are specific variables that you must use. This is not code that can be generated online using the online button creator, the code has to be manually written for your specific requirements and most ofter requires some scripting to manage the selections.
This example shows how to add a processing charge to a ticket sale. It demonstrates how to include an additional fee as a line item.
