Unauthorized Charge Nightmare

Hello, my name is Caleb. I am 19.On December 13, at around 3:45 am, someone logged into my eBay account and purchased an item, along with messing with my orders awaiting shipment. As I only had about $400 in PayPal, and about $0 in my bank account, I now “owe” PayPal $963. Originally I had a stop payment issued, but I think now I should have went for a charge back. Here is a link to an album of images related to this purchase. https://imgur.com/a/BHGgns4 I must remind you that this was an unauthorized purchase. The first thing I did was call PayPal, to let them know about the transaction. The person I spoke to helped me to file the claim. A claim was filed and I was to expect an answer within 10 days. After speaking to PayPal, I called eBay, the person I spoke to agreed that this looked like an unauthorized transaction. I told them about the claim with PayPal. For the last week, every time I call eBay, the customer support person will notice the claim/dispute and tell me to talk to PayPal. Whenever I try to take any actions on the order on eBay, it directs me to the PayPal claim. As you can see in one of the images in the album linked above, this item that was purchased was sent by local pickup. However, it also says on the same page, that is was shipped to my address. When I try to contact the seller about the local pickup options, they do not respond. The seller has not contacted me in the week since the unauthorized purchase was made. I believe on the 16th I received a response about my claim. This is the first update I got on my Claim. They state that the transaction was consistent with my history. This does not make sense to me as most of my transactions are receiving money from eBay sales, and transferring money to my bank. On that day I spoke to my local police department and had a police report taken. I have not used it yet. On the 17th I called PayPal again, and was able to get a support member to re-open my case. On the 19th, I received another email that is very similar to the first update about my case. Saying, it was not an unauthorized transaction. So basically what I am asking is: Is there anything I can do in this situation. I do not have any money now to buy Christmas presents, or make a payment on my student loan debt , as it was all locked in my PayPal account, when the account went negative. Am I **bleep**? Am I able to bring my bank in again, even after doing the stop payment? Thanks, Caleb. ... View more
