Hello folks, I can't see a similar topic so hopefully someone can help me here... Just before Xmas I was stupid enough to trust a person and send her money for an ipad, which was meant to be an xmas gift, found on gumtree. When making a payment on paypal I chose the option with a protection and was waiting patiently for the parcel which obviously never came. I made a claim through the website which has been denied because the seller apparently provided a tracking number, but she never gave anything to me and right now she is not responding to messages which means I have been totally scammed, left without money and the ipad. She was meant to send the thing to my work address, so it is definitely not me who failed to get the parcel as they always sign everything for me and take them straight to my desk. I am also sure she was up to something as I wrote her a private message on gumtree as a different person asking if the ipad is still available and she responded yes so that means she is a scammer. I am a total idiot, I know, but I trusted that money refund protection thing and I am shocked you can actually cheat still with some fake tracking numbers! I never signed anything so the tracking number should not be even accepted... I've just wrote a message to paypal staff on FB but I wonder if there's still a chance to get my money back? Cheers
