Hi everyone, surprisingly, I got my funds back! Both transactions - Nov 29 and Dec 4. After submitting the documents required, they really did a trace on my account and good thing, they returned it with no additional fees. Hey guys, I've already submitted/uploaded the necessary documents (Bank Statement/Debit Card number)  last week (Nov 19th)  since it's already beyond the 14th day per their tracking procedure. It would normally take another 7-10 business days for them to trace it and contact me with the results. However, there's really no confirmation in any form so I'm still wishing they'd get back to me. If it all goes well, I'm expecting the results will be next year since there are holidays otherwise, it'll be another limbo. There's no way of knowing if they're doing something about it except for their generic replies on Facebook messenger. Emails are no good too. How do we get a hold of a moderator or someone from a certain department which addresses issues like these? Feels like we're left hanging waiting for their mercy to talk to us. This just doesn't feel right. Can't you just give us our money back if it didn't go through in our accounts? I understand, there's a system in place for failed transactions like this but please, your process is a pain the neck! I reached out to BDO for the 2nd time and talked to a representative from their customer service department and what transpired from our conversation is that they really cannot trace our funds due to an input error — using the debit card number instead of the account number. Per the representative, the Debit Card Number is meant for withdrawing funds while the Account Number is for receiving funds. Basically, the funds transferred to the debit card number will not go through since it's not meant to receive funds. What will happen then is that the funds will be on floating status on Paypal's issuing bank and from there we wait till Paypal's further notice. Based on your statement, their explanation coincides with Paypal's, which gives us an idea that this process will really take a long time and frustrated as we are, we have no option but to wait till they give it back to us. I hope, a moderator can look into this thread and give us a concrete solution instead of just reassurance.  ... View more

Yes, I tried sending an email and told them about this issue but no luck, not even sure if their email support works. I also went to the bank (BDO) prior to reaching out to them but the bank representative just told me, there's no way they can verify it on their end. This back and forth steps to trace back your money takes time and it'll surely test your patience. Feels like waiting is the only option we have which is not really a pleasant experience at all. I got the same response from them (Paypal FB chat). I had the same problem and up until now, the amount wasn't reverted back to my Paypal account. Transaction date was November 29 and right now I'm still waiting.  Unfortunately, I have 2 transactions, the 2nd one was last December 4. It's Christmas and I needed these funds badly.
