So my son and his friend sold an item on Depop. My paypal account was unfortunately stilled linked to my sons account. Thought nothing of it and transferred him the funds. Little known to me the buyer was in conversation with my son and his friend and stating the item was not as described. and they agreed to refund to the boyfriend once they got the tracking number. I have all the messages now. I know two mistakes (. The tracking number ends up to a parcel in the opposite end of the country so clearly wasn't being posted to him, and refunds to the buyers boyfriend. So he had clearly already been stung and they have the item and got a refund. But now the cheeky so and so's and claiming on paypal.. and it has gone in there favour.. OMG.. so now i am having to refund them although i sent all the text messages etc which if anyone bothered to read the thread it is clear what they are doing. So now they are meant to be returning it again ??? for another refund??? ummm I wonder what they will put in the box if anything at all... But hey I guess i will have to pay just for being the bank account. I will take this to the small claims court but feel very disappointed that paypal haven't even read any evidence and the buyer hasn't once sent me a message or responded... What is the point in sending evidence when nobody looks at it. How can i prove that the item if any they send back isn't what was sold.. this is bad. They have the item and have been refunded back twice.. fraud.. I already know that they dont have the original box which it was sent in so its not going to be what they were sold..
