Original transaction date from customer purchase was Feb 21st 2019. Customer opened a ebay return case that was closed in our favor as the seller was not setting up the computer correctly. The customer opened a Paypal Item not as described case March 16th 2019. To this day August 8th 2019 the dispute has never been escalated and the paypal dispute still shows in my resolution case. How do i get this closed safely? My theory would be wait to call paypal after August 21st which will be 180 days after the original transaction date. This all started with a customer purchasing a used computer and then after we shipped it before they even received it they were asking questions about how to set it up to their monitor and didn't know what the connections were called , (For example VGA cable, DVI Cables, etc) so right there that tells me they don't know anything about computers. Then after they received the computer they were asking what the password was and we never put a password on the machine, they would have to do something in the settings or tried to reinstall everything with the included install discs to get a password on the machine so we offered several times to give them free on the phone tech support, they never called us. Then they opened a return on paypal after their ebay return got denied, now stating the computer goes to sleep after a few minutes. That's also something they would have to mess around with in the settings so again we offered to help fix any set up issues over the phone for free. after several attempts to help them they responded through ebay messages with the word "stop". So we backed off trying to help and now months later the claim was never escalated, no new messages, yet it is still open. any suggestions how to safely get this closed out of our account?
