I can understand why this situation would cause concern. Normally, if the bank receives the deposit and doesn't recognize the account number, they will automatically decline the deposit and it will come back to your PayPal account. This can take up to 14 business days as that is twice the timeframe of a bank transfer. If you don't show this deposit in your bank or PayPal account within that timeframe, I'd recommend reaching out to our customer service team for assistance with finding out where this money has gone.
Our team can request a trace to ask the bank where the money is. We will then provide you with a number to give to the bank so they recognize that is your money. You can obtain our contact information or reach out to us by going to the 'Contact' section at the bottom of the PayPal webpage.
