Re: Chargeback Greater Than 10 Weeks After Payment

I just went through a chargeback from a buyer and as a seller you actually have 30 days to get the item to the buyer and if the buyer has not received the item within 30 days then they can file a chargeback. What really stinks is in order to get your funds back you have to have all kinds of information and proof of delivery of the item, and on top of that it takes paypal 30 days to decide if you are right so they can fight the credit card company and then to make it even worse it can take up to 75 days for them to get he funds back from the credit card company if you win. Last but not least you end up having to pay a 20 dollar fee to paypal for them supplying the credit card company with the information that you had to come up with and send to paypal. Actually in my opinion paypal is totally worthless for a seller or a buyer outside of ebay and they do it like this for a reason because both companies are partners and they both feed off the sells made on ebay. My suggestion would be to drop them all together as a payment source because you actually have no protection at all with them unless you are a seller or buyer on ebay and they charge you for every sell you make. Good luck with you company ... View more

c2offer.com iphone 4 32 gb scam

My friend recently purchased an iphone 4 from a seller on c2offer.com. She received the package today and signed for it when the mailman arrived. When she took the package inside and opened it up there was only a dirty piece of foam inside the package wrapped with a plastic bag and tape. Would this be covered by paypal as an item not as described? What will happen it my friend opens a dispute and escalates it to a claim. I have experienced similar issues in the past and when I escalated it to a claim paypal told me that it was not covered and they only guaranteed the delivery of the item. I sure would appreciate your professional input on the best way to recover the funds for this fraud. She paid for the item directly through her bank account and not with a credit card. I would also like to add that all the writting on the package was in chinese so she has no idea where to return the package if she needed to. Thank you ... View more

Almost forgot to ask you if usps has the funds then am I able to retrieve the funds from them and if I cannot what is the reason since the label was never used, and please do not tell me you don't know how they operate their system because your company works hand in hand with them.  I actually expected you to say that usps keeps the funds anyway. ... Well now I find that stanage indeed because I have printed on the usps site before and went back and retrieved funds from the for labels that were days old and not  just 24 hours old, and so you are telling me because I printed the label through paypal that there is no way to get the funds back for something I paid for and never used? Has usps had a recent change in the amount of time they allow for a refund because I never had this issue with them before when I shipped directly through them and not through payapl.  My last question would be have you seen these funds go directly to usps with your own eyes or is this just something you were told by paypal, as there is a big differenced. ... Postage label that was never used

Ok I printed out a label several weeks ago and I never used the label but I completely forgot about it. My question to paypal is who gets the money that I paid for this label? Do they just consider because of your ignorance that it is ok for them to keep the funds paid or what? Does usps keep the money or paypal or do the share the unearned funds made out of a persons honest mistake? In my opinion this is absolutely hideous to say the least that you only have a 24 hour window to void a label. Usps knows whether or not the label was used and so does paypal as well so why would they not be willing to refund your money for a label never used? ... View more

I am preparing to purchase an item that is fairly rare and I just want to make sure that I do not get scammed. A fewmonths ago I sold an item to another user and I could not acquire the payment he made until he received the item, leftpositive feedback or so many days passed by. I want to know how I can go about executing this process when Ipurchase any item that I am concerned about. Thank you very much ... View more
