I have to cancel holiday accommodation in Scotland I booked in January for July. I am giving over 10 weeks notice. It's in the High Season therefore I am sure it will be re-let with no problem at all given the notice. The owner is refusing to refund any of my deposit. I don't think it would be unreasonable to pay a small cancellation fee, but the whole deposit ( I paid via paypal in Jan)? He did not provide any cancellation fee at the time of booking nor does he display any on his website. His email response was rude to my request "what do you think a deposit is for". That's it, no negotiation or compromise. Am I entitled to any back via paypal? Thanks!
