For the Second Time This Year, Paypal is Scamming ...

So, I made a purchase on ebay on April 12 and cancelled the purchase a few hours later, when a similar item that I had ordered finally arrived weeks after it should have. The seller at first did not want to cancel the order and actually lied that he/she had already sent it. But after proving that he/she was lying, the order was cancelled and I received an email alert from Paypal that I had received a refund from the said seller.   But on checking my Paypal account for the refund about 48 hours later, I couldn't not find any evidence of the refund there, nor did I find any evidence that it was pending or anything. I waited another two days or so and checked again, still nothing. I contacted Paypal about the issue but they insisted that the refund had been completed on the 15th of April and up till this morning, are still maintaining that line.Yet, I have asked them SEVERAL times, via back and forth messages, why I can't see this refund on my Paypal account and on the statement of the credit card linked to my Paypal account, and they have NEVER been to answer that question! Instead they have been sending me the same copy and paste responses, parroting the same line that they cannot substantiate. Earlier this year , Paypal allowed Luckyvitamin to deduct an unauthorized amount of $35 from my account, they denied it at first, and continued to deny until I took them to the BBB and provided evidence which proved otherwise. Long story short, Luckyvitamin insisted that they had refunded the money (after also first denying that they did deduct an unauthorized amount) through Paypal. But Paypal refused to refund the money despite everything. Thanks in part to the BBB,  who are apparently no longer the consumer protection body they used to be. I thereafter referred that matter to the California Atty's office and hope other people will do the same, though I doubt much will come out of it as I learned that Paypal is now owned by several very big companies or at least have shares worth hundreds of millions of dollars in it. This is now par for the course with Paypal. It seems Paypal has gone fully rogue, and even worse, it seems they have been given carte blanche to do as they please by the very bodies who should be keeping them in check. ... View more
