Not sure what you ended up doing but I got so frustrated I just closed my PayPal account. I had a three month old pending charge for a small purchase I made three months ago. The merchant had canceled it three months ago due to not having the shoes in stock. I have sent PayPal emails and enclosed the emails from the merchant that they canceled the transaction three months ago, to no avail, the pending charge still appears so I cannot remove my checking account. This is a small purchase but the hoops I have had to go through for something so small makes me worry about of anything big ever did happen. I would not want my checking account to have issues so wanted to remove it from my account but can't because of this stupid $50 pending payment. I have zero confidence in PayPal helping with a big issue as the service was so poor for this thing.
