Snowshoe, you are incorrect about your statement that, "During the checkout process, if you don't want funds removed from your account balance or bank account, there's an option to use your backup funding source which is your credit card. "   There is absolutely no option for this. During checkout, it ALWAYS gives me an option to use my balance or pay by e-check. I have to cards verified with my account and it NEVER gives me the option to use them.  ... View more

Option to pay by Balance or Bank - What happened?

I KNOW for a fact that you used to be able to pay for a transaction by getting the option of either your payPal balance, your bank account or credit card. The other day, I went to pay for something and I HAD to pay with my balance... I had no other choice. I called PAyPal and they informed me that it has ALWAYS been that way; as long as you have a PayPal balance it will automatically take it from there. I insisted that they were wrong. I even talked to a manger and he confirmed what the other knucklehead said. Since then, I have had two other transcactions and it gave me the option of paying for it by BALANCE, BANK ACCT. or CREDIT CARD. I have a screen shot of the option that they insist they never had. But when you email them you cannot attach a file. And even though I notified them of this, I got a "form email" stating their policy. The only problem with the option of bank acct is that NOW it is an e-check which takes 10 days to clear, even though I have instant payment through my bank acct. I am getting so damn tired of Paypal: Having mis-informed employees and changing policies, constantly, AND NOT FOR THE BETTER! ... View more

As long as your bank account has been verified, it should now process instantly. Unfortuantely, Payapl changes their policies quicker than the government steals your money. If you paid by e-check, it will take about 10 days. ... View more

Not sure if I am understnading you correctly, but when you pay with an e-check, the money is drawn from your funding source (bank account) usually within 10 days. The money is paid directly to the seller. ... View more
