I contacted support via chat yesterday and their response was: After reviewing, we received similar concern from other customers. We are now escalating this matter. For now you can request a payment from your buyers if these are payments for good and services. Of course, requesting a payment isn't a practical solution where paypal.me is used most of the time - for voluntary payments for things like twitter - so that suggestion is not a good one. It's been down 24hrs now so hopefully someone at paypal is working on it more. See my other community post for more info on the tech error.
