Hi I sold a set of 3 new (unused, unopen, sealed by manufacturer) computer parts on eBay (got paid via PayPal) with "no returns accepted" since the technology was outdated + the parts were manufactured more than 13 years ago (which was clearly seen on product label. The buyer wrote to me 90 days after the transaction date and said one of the parts malfunctioned. He wants a refund. What are my options? Am I obligated to refund him what he paid? I have an issue with a seller where I purchased studying material and their refund policy is as follows (I pasted as is w/o correcting the grammar):   "Users are entitled with full refund if he/she fails the corresponding exam in 30 days after the purchase of our product"   I went to the seller and claimed refund because I failed the exam in 30 days (on day 32 to be specific). He said "we refund the order before 30 days, but your test date after 30 days". I thought "in" means after the defined time goes by like if I tell you I will call you in 5 minutes means I'm going to call after the 5 minutes go by versus I will call you within 5 minutes" where I'm going to call before 5 mins go by.   Who's wrong, him or me? ...
