One option to do what you have in mind is to use the "upload" method. Basically, your post is describing a custom mini cart. The online button creator is a great tool however, when you need something outside the box, then you're going to need something custom coded. By using the "upload" method and a script, you can get very creative. Many 3rd party cards use the "upload" method, you can learn more about it here.
